Being faced with a felony was a very big deal for me as a young, successful salesman trying to get back into the business world. Drug Court gave me hope. It gave me my life back.

| The Adult Drug Court Program diverts offenders with substance abuse and drug related criminal activity from the criminal justice system by offering them an opportunity to proactively deal with their dependence rather than face punitive alternatives. This more effective form of treatment combines a minimum of one years worth of mandatory drug testing, psychoeducational group therapy, case management, regular participation at Alcoholics and/or Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and routine probationary and judicial reviews.
The Adult Drug Court Program is a community coordinated effort between the David Lawrence Center, Office of the State Attorney, The 20th Judicial Circuit, Department of Corrections and Department of Children and Families.
Clients must be court ordered into the program.
