The David Lawrence Center substance abuse intervention program is designed for adults who are experiencing problems related to drug and alcohol use. The program includes structured psycho-educational group therapy that explores the biopsychosocial aspects of substance abuse and relapse prevention. Individual comprehensive assessment and treatment services are also provided on an outpatient basis as indicated. Treatment focuses on the recognition of substances as a problem and utilizing the group process to assist the individual in breaking through denial, identifying problem areas and making changes. Depending on the level of the individuals substance abuse problem, the program is 7-16 weeks.
Individuals must meet certain clinical criteria to be entered into this substance abuse intervention program determined through a clinical assessment. These services are offered in Naples and Immokalee and can be court ordered.
