Bridges is a statewide inpatient psychiatric facility for children and adolescents ages 5-17 who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral and psychological problems. The 20-bed residential psychiatric treatment program provides intensive diagnostic, assessment and treatment services to help children reach emotional and mental stability. The average length of stay is four to six months.
Children admitted into the Bridges program represent the most severe cases and individuals must have failed at all other less restrictive treatment options. Bridges often represents the last alternative for dealing with extreme destructive behavioral, emotional or substance abuse problems before either being institutionalized or jailed.
Bridges services include:
- Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation and Diagnosis
- Medical, Psychological, Social, and Educational Assessment
- Treatment Planning with a Specialized Treatment Team
- Psychiatric and Clinical Therapy Services
- Individual, Family and Group Therapy
- Behavior Management Program
- Peer Support Activities
 - Active Rehabilitation and Psycho-education Program
- Comprehensive Academic Program (the Telford Sunshine School is an onsite, alternative school provided by the Collier County Public School System)
- Aftercare Programs and Services
In order to access the Bridges program, children must meet strict clinical criteria. To learn more about the admissions process download our Referral Guide.
