Client Handbook
The DUI Class is available for court ordered individuals in Collier County who have been arrested for driving under the influence. The ultimate goal of this educational program, which is licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles and Highway Safety, is to reduce the incidence of alcohol related traffic accidents, to increase awareness and insight for offenders and to produce positive behavioral change.

Depending on the alcohol and drug related traffic arrest/conviction, the classes include 12 - 21 hours of instruction and provide an education on the effect and consequences, both personally and socially, of drinking/drugging while driving, the definition of the DUI problem, the role of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, law enforcement and the judiciary, and discussion of community treatment resources. Substance abuse, chemical dependency and additional issues area also addressed.

Individuals referred to the DUI Class will receive a comprehensive clinical assessment and can be referred into court ordered individual outpatient treatment if indicated in the assessment.

Clients must register in person. Classes are available in Naples and Immokalee.
