The David Lawrence Center and Foundation are extremely pleased to announce the receipt of several recent grants from local charitable foundations that will support a variety of treatment programs and special therapeutic projects.
Telford Foundation
Children's Services | $77, 500
The Telford Foundation has awarded the Center a $77,500 grant to improve access to professional mental health services for youth in Collier County. The grant will specifically support prevention, intervention and education services for at risk children and their parents. This funding will allow the Center to provide comprehensive assessments for children at a younger age in order to intervene early in the disease process providing the most positive outcomes for children and their families.
Elizabeth Kay Galeana Charitable Foundation
Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment | $25,000
The Elizabeth Kay Galeana Charitable Foundation provided $25,000 to be used for the rehabilitation of teenagers who are experiencing psychological and physical problems resulting from substance abuse. The funding will be used towards substance abuse assessments, outpatient treatment and intervention services for youth in Collier County.

Naples Garden Club
Therapeutic Garden | $2,500
The Naples Garden Club has donated $2,500 towards the development of a new therapeutic garden for mental health and substance abuse patients and staff members to enjoy at the main campus off of Golden Gate Parkway. The garden area will be designed to affect residential and outpatient clients and staff in a positive way by creating a relaxing, soothing therapeutic environment in order to improve mental health, wellbeing and reduce or eliminate environmental stressors.
