What: Sound Minds™ Music Festival and Mental Health Symposium

Event Description:
Join us for the first annual Sound Minds™ music festival and mental health symposium. The symposium is modeled after the wildly successful Music Festival for Brain Health held annually at the Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa Valley for the last 20 years. Begin your day interacting with featured scientists and professionals at the symposium. Then feed your senses with wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres, followed by live music at the concert.  You may even choose to pair your experience with an exclusive dinner featuring harmonious couplings of Staglin Family Vineyard wines.

In partnership with IMHRO, the symposium will feature renowned experts and advocates for brain science and early detection and intervention. Learn how to recognize early signs in youth to interrupt the negative course of some mental illnesses and improve the long-term outcome for individuals in our community from the following scientists and mental health advocates:

Carrie Bearden, PhD
Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA.
Scott Russo, PhD
Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Scott Haltzman, MD
Senior Psychiatrist, Outpatient Medical Services David Lawrence Center; Distinguished Fellow, American Psychiatric Association; When Bad Things Happen to Good Families—Harnessing the Power of Resiliency.

What: "Signatures of Greece, An Elegant Evening at the Parthenon"

Event Description:
The David Lawrence Center and Foundation’s 2015 destination themed annual gala, “Signatures of Greece, An Elegant Evening at the Parthenon,” will transport guests on a journey back in time to discover the immense beauty of Ancient Greece when artistic expression and the gayety of music danced along with its people through the streets. Cuisine, as colorful as it was delicious, adorned banquet tables while people gathered to ponder the vital issues of the day and benefit from their enlightened states of mind.

The evening’s suggested attire is elegant Grecian attire for the ladies and black tie for the gentlemen.

There will be endless opportunities to bid on luxurious silent and live auction lots while you dine on Greek inspired cuisine and dance the night away to live music performed by Wonderama.

Previous years’ events have been named the Best Themed Event by Gulfshore Life magazine, one of the Spring Season’s most memorable fundraising parties by Naples Illustrated magazine and Best Event Theme by The Journal.
